THE QUICK READ

What to know before you compare

FundedNext Stellar 1-Step and 2-Step are paid CFD evaluations with different targets and loss allowances. The firm describes its service as simulated trading using virtual funds, including performance-based rewards rather than profits from live orders. Choose the complete rules package that matches your strategy, not just the fewest evaluation stages. [1]

Compare the standard evaluation requirements

As checked on 25 October 2026, standard Stellar 1-Step requires a 10% target, allows 3% daily and 6% overall loss, and requires two trading days. [2] Stellar 2-Step uses 8% and 5% targets, 5% daily and 10% overall loss, and five trading days in each phase. [3] Neither standard evaluation has a fixed completion deadline. [2][3] The single-stage route saves one assessment but provides a tighter loss allowance; that is a trade-off, not evidence that it is easier.

Measure risk using equity and the correct clock

The overall loss limits are fixed against initial balance: on a $100,000 account, the floors are $94,000 for 1-Step and $90,000 for 2-Step. Floating losses count, and a daily breach can fail the account even when the overall floor remains intact. FundedNext uses server time, with seasonal GMT offsets, rather than each trader’s local midnight. [4] Build a separate daily stop below the contractual limit and check rollover before carrying open positions across the reset.

Match payout timing with its conditions

Current 1-Step starts with an 80% reward share and a five-business-day cycle after the first funded-account trade. [2] For 2-Step, the standard choice offers 80%, initially after 21 days and then every 14 days. The three-profitable-day choice offers 60% and requires at least 1% profit on each qualifying day. On-demand offers 90% with 2% growth and a 40% consistency condition. Requests undergo compliance review. [5] These are different packages; a faster schedule cannot be combined freely with another option’s easiest conditions.

Budget the fee and any reset separately

FundedNext advertises a one-time fee without recurring costs. [1] Its standard reimbursement differs by product: current 2-Step can include it with the first Performance Reward, while 1-Step purchases or resets from 12 January 2026 use the third. After a reset, reimbursement tracks the latest reset fee rather than the original purchase. A separate platform fee may be non-refundable, with a US exception. [6] Check checkout totals, add-ons and refund eligibility before comparing prices; an advertised refundable fee still requires successful performance.

Check additional rules before using a strategy

Headline targets are only part of the contract. The current guides include Quick Strike limits, copying restrictions and account-size conditions for automated trading. [2][3] Read those alongside news and total-open-risk policies before using an existing system. After passing, agreement signing, approved identity checks and a risk review precede account issuance. [2] Older purchase terms can differ: for example, 1-Step accounts purchased or reset before 12 January 2026 retain a different starting reward arrangement. [7] Keep the invoice, selected options and applicable rules together.

Verify jurisdiction and platform fit

US customers currently use Match-Trader for new accounts; MetaTrader is unavailable, and new US cTrader purchases stopped on 31 March 2026. The US guide also excludes native EA/algorithmic trading and the 15% challenge reward. [8] Other location restrictions apply under FundedNext’s service disclosures. [1] Confirm eligibility and platform availability before paying. These evaluations are research candidates for traders with a repeatable process, while a trader relying on unsupported automation or a specific payout date should resolve that mismatch first.

Frequently asked questions

Is Stellar 1-Step automatically easier than 2-Step?

No. It removes a phase but has tighter daily and total loss allowances. Compare those limits with your strategy’s actual losing periods. [2][3]

Is the challenge fee returned immediately after passing?

No. Reimbursement depends on the applicable Performance Reward milestone, with different rules for current 1-Step, 2-Step and older purchases. [6]

Can every trader use MetaTrader?

No. The current US guide requires Match-Trader for new US accounts. Check the rules for your residence and selected product. [8]
