What to know before you compare
Take Profit Trader separates a simulated Test, simulated PRO account and live PRO+ stage. Passing the Test does not itself mean live trading. PRO's early-withdrawal language still requires a profit buffer and compliance with its trading rules. [1][4]

Three stages with different account models
TPT's official comparison labels Test and PRO as simulated and PRO+ as live. The website lists an 80% trader share for PRO and 90% for PRO+. [1] Read those as different program stages rather than two payout percentages freely interchangeable after purchase. This guide examines official documentation checked on October 25, 2026. It does not claim a firsthand account test, independently audited payout history or a probability of reaching the live stage.
New Tests use three days; older ones may not
From August 17, 2026, new Test accounts require at least three trading days. TPT's announcement explicitly keeps the five-day minimum for existing evaluations and resets of those existing accounts. The 50% profit-consistency requirement remains. [2] Keep your original purchase date available when checking progress. A shortened advertised minimum does not remove the profit target or other rules, and it does not predict how long an individual trader will need.
Subscription billing needs active attention
The Test renews monthly until cancelled; a rule breach does not cancel billing. A paid reset does not move the renewal date. Passing automatically cancels the Test subscription, and PRO has no recurring subscription charge. [3] The homepage separately lists a one-time $130 PRO fee. [1] Confirm the current checkout total and refund terms before paying, then record the renewal date. This review has not verified a general refund entitlement and does not assume one.
Day-one eligibility still requires a buffer
PRO's withdrawal help article says traders must build the buffer before withdrawing at the 80% share. Its 50K example requires reaching $52,000; the buffer corresponds to that account's $2,000 maximum drawdown. [4] Treat the marketed timing as a possible eligibility date, not a guaranteed payment. Check the requested amount, remaining account cushion and wallet withdrawal steps before submitting. A dashboard profit figure and money received in a bank account are different milestones.
PRO drawdown follows unrealized gains
PRO uses intraday trailing drawdown based on peak balance including unrealized gains; its floor eventually stops at starting balance. The rules also require weekly trading activity, manual execution and being flat around specified prohibited news events. [5] This means a position that first moves in your favor can tighten the available room before it closes. Rehearse that sequence in your risk journal rather than assuming a closed-trade profit is the only relevant measure.
PRO+ selection is reviewed
TPT says promotion depends on several trading-performance and behavior factors, without one automatic qualification threshold. The trader and broker must complete onboarding, and setup typically takes several days after requirements are met. The transition documentation also describes profit held in the PRO account and a zero starting balance for PRO+. [6] Read those mechanics before making plans around a future live allocation; the Test account's headline size is not a promised cash transfer.
Check country, platform and trading style
TPT's restricted-country policy prohibits account and market-data access from restricted locations. [7] Check it before subscribing or travelling, along with the supported platform and product list. Compare the model with your existing routine: session times, manual order entry, drawdown behavior and withdrawal prerequisites. The useful question is whether you can follow both Test and PRO rules consistently, rather than whether a headline suggests the fastest route to income.
Frequently asked questions
Is the first PRO account live?
No. TPT labels PRO simulated; PRO+ is the separate live stage. [1]
Will a failed Test stop my subscription?
No. You must cancel it yourself; a rule breach does not automatically stop monthly billing. [3]
Does day-one payout mean no profit requirement?
No. PRO's published withdrawal rules still require building the account's buffer. [4]
